Calling All Doctors. Check Me Out!
Wednesday, 11 November 2009 14:39
I’m not going to lie. Someone actually gives me a list of suggestions for this blog, mainly on topics to discuss. One of them that came through my cluttered inbox was one about how doctors rarely, if ever, perform a testicular cancer exam during routine physicals.

Now I cannot say that this is true for my doctor as he is pretty thorough (even to the point of brutally honest in regards to my weight… which I’ll reserve for a different blog) in making sure I’m at my peak health.

Does your doc perform an exam on you at your physical? If he doesn’t do you speak up? You should! There’s nothing embarrassing about having a medical professional do this task. Who better (aside from your partner) to check under the hood for you!?

Next time you go for a physical and your doctor forgets your testes, make sure you ask him. They’ll be more than happy to do this for you because their primary concern is YOUR health.

As the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation continues to make strides in providing awareness of self-examination we need our doctors to follow suit!

When was the last time you had a physical? Did your doc perform an exam? Did you ask? Did he hesitate? Do you do your duty as a man and perform one on yourself once a month? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

On a side note, did you know we’re on Twitter and Facebook? Follow and become a fan!

Be a man… Self exam.
