![]() The Mets would like to welcome you to the first annual Testicular Cancer Awareness Night at Citi Field! Cheer for the Mets while supporting the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation. The Foundation was established in memory of Sean Kimerling, the Emmy Award-winning anchor of PIX11 sports and pre-game announcer for the New York Mets. Sean died from testicular cancer on September 9, 2003. He was only 37. The Foundation was formed to raise awareness of testicular cancer and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. TC is the most common cancer in men under 40. Recently published studies show the incidence of testicular cancer in men under and men over 40 is almost equal. This disease is 95 - 99% curable when diagnosed and treated in its earliest stages. Men 40 years or older who are diagnosed with the disease have twice the risk of dying of the disease than men under 40. The death rate among Hispanic men who have the disease is approximately 60% higher than White men. Sit together with family, friends, and fellow supporters of the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation in designated Baseline Box, Left Field Landing, and Promenade Reserved seats. A portion of tickets sold through this online window will be rebated to the S.K.T.C Foundation. All participants will receive a Mets Ticket Holder & Lanyard (with advance purchase through this offer). If you hear "you have testicular cancer", you want to hear "we caught it early".
