About Testicular Cancer
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men 15 – 35 years old, and incidence rates have been steadily increasing for decades. It is highly treatable—in fact, 99% curable—when found and treated in its earliest stages. In the case of testicular cancer, awareness truly is the cure.
About the Foundation
The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation is dedicated to raising Awareness of testicular cancer and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, providing Answers, and promoting Action in the fight against testicular cancer. The foundation was formed in 2003 in memory of Sean Kimerling, the Emmy Award winning sportscaster and pre-game announcer for the NY Mets. Sean died at the age of 37 from testicular cancer. Headquartered in New York City, the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, recognized nationally as a key resource in the fight against testicular cancer.
“Bringing this very special 10th anniversary event to Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Westchester County is truly a homecoming for the Foundation. This is both a time to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sean’s tragic passing, and an opportunity to celebrate 10 years of raising awareness and saving lives. Join us on August 5 to meet your sports heroes, connect and network, and help us fight the most common cancer in young men”, said Rob Eccles, the Foundation’s Executive Director.
