Events held across the country support mission of Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation
6th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament and Dinner
Sports Superstars, Media Personalities, Business Leaders and Corporations joined supporters of the foundation at the 6th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament and Dinner, held at the Muttontown Country Club, East Norwich, New York, August 2009.

Celebrities including Ottis Anderson-NY Giants ; Stephen Baker- NY Giants; Richard Caster-NY Jets; Rick Cerone-NY Yankees; Bill Evans- ABC-TV; Bruce Harper-NY Jets; Sean Landeta-NY Giants; and Perry William-NY Giants played with, talked with, were photographed with, and signed autographs for sponsors and guests. A special thanks to Presenting Sponsor PIX 11: Silver Sponsors: Richard E. Capri Foundation & The Wolf Family and The New York Mets; Underwriters The Cutaia Group and Raymond J Baxter; along with the many other sponsors and supporters who contributed to a beautiful, successful event. The day's activities included brunch, cocktail reception with live entertainment, trick shot artist, dinner and awards ceremony, and much more.

During the event SKTCF honored Mr. Rory Cutaia for his charitable efforts to improve the lives of others.

SKTCF also recognized Eagel Sports Promotion for their dedicated support of the foundation's mission.
Texas Hold'em Event Sponsored by Jim Orphanides and Associates and produced by Eagel Sports Promotions benefits SKTCF and homeless initiatives.
NY Football Giants superstars Ottis Anderson, Stephen Baker, Karl Nelson, and Curtis McGriff along with Richard Caster of NY Jets fame helped raise awareness and money to fight testicular cancer. The foundation thanks all who helped make the December 2009 evening a great success.
SKTCF thanks Joseph Capizzi and his friends and family for raising $1000 to help spread the message on the importance of early detection and self-examination.

SKTCF thanks Natalie and Kyle Shamie and their friends and supporters for their first annual Crawl for the Ball event raising $1000 to fight TC.

T.O. Walton Hall at Texas A&M University hosted a "Beat the Hell Out of Testicular Cancer" fund raiser to benefit SKTCF. The foundation thanks all who participated.

Delta Upsilon Fraternity, San Jose, California; hosted a "Duck Pong Tournament", at the San Jose State University Campus to benefit SKTCF. The foundation thanks all who participated.

Hanszen College at Rice University hosted an event to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer and benefit SKTCF - thanks to all who participated.

The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation proudly announced that UnitedHealthcare is the exclusive sponsor of the SKTCF shower card program. Thousands of cards have been shipped across the United States, helping to teach and remind individuals on the importance of TSE. SKTCF LAUNCHES NEW MEDIA PROGRAM
Funded in part by a grant from the Richard E. Capri Foundation, the New Media Program includes efforts to leverage social networks and other forms of social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin, Flickr, Ebay, etc), to expand awareness of TC, and the need for regular self-examination. Because the disease primarily affects young men under 40, awareness efforts must target this demographic group. Due to changes in media consumption patterns, it is increasingly difficult to reach this audience through traditional media. At the same time, the explosion of social media offers extremely effective new tools to engage with this target audience. $100.00 will help support new media programs. Since the program launched:
  • Our followers on Facebook have increased almost 40 % and this platform is one of the top 5 referrers to the SKTCF website. Do you know you can create your own virtual event on Facebook? Use the CAUSE app to create a cause on YOUR OWN page and designate SKTCF as the beneficiary.
  • Foundation website traffic continues to grow, increasing more than 300 percent over last year, indicative of the desire and need for information relating to testicular health, early detection, and self-examination, demonstrating the important role SKTCF plays in the fight against TC, and quantifying the efficacy of the foundation's mission.

SEAN KIMERLING TESTICULAR CANCER FOUNDATION TC RESOURCE KIT - The foundation launched a grassroots advocacy and communications program online, including multimedia and interactive presentations.
Also included are training materials targeting discussions with medical and health services professionals. Every month grassroots activists, community leaders, survivors, and health providers download materials and help educate their communities on issues relating to testicular cancer. "THIS IS WHAT MATTERS TO ME" CAUSE RELATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN / EDUCATION PROGRAM LAUNCHES MID-SPRING 2010 - WATCH SKTCF WEBSITE FOR DETAILS 40% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM SALES WILL GO DIRECTLY BACK TO SKTCF.
To celebrate the launch of Kharma Apparel Inc. (KharmaNYC.com) -- a new high-end, cause-driven brand - their team collaborated with 10 of the world's most innovative and influential artists and creatives from around the world on a project called "This is What Matters to Me.". Kharma asked each of the 10 designers to step away from their commercial-focused work and design a hand-crafted, limited edition screen printed Tee based around a cause that has had an impact on their personal lives. Each artist, by their own choosing, selected an organization to support.

For the project, internationally influential design studio Non-Format has chosen The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation as the organization they've chosen to support. Kharma, along with the Studio and SKTCF, have worked together over the last several months to develop the Tee, along with an online, press-driven campaign aimed at gaining extended attention and awareness for SKTCF and Testicular Cancer. And, 40% of the proceeds from the sales will go directly back to SKTCF.

The full release of the "This is What Matters to Me." project is expected for mid-spring. These limited quantity tee's will be available exclusively through Kharma's website, KharmaNYC.com.

Kjell Ekhorn (Norwegian) and Jon Forss (British) have worked together as the creative direction & design team Non-Format since 2000. They work on a range of projects including art direction, design, illustration and custom typography for arts & culture, music industry, fashion and advertising clients. The duo is known for an exceptionally innovative approach to typography and a fresh, boundary-crushing graphic style. Clients such as Nike, Coca Cola and The New York Times have all tapped the studio's award winning and internationally acclaimed design talent. Their best selling hardback entitled Non-Format Love Song was published by Die Gestalten Verlag in 2007.
